Public footpaths make a good starting point. As near as I can estimate from the 1:50000 map, here at SK 447 466 is the site of Heanor Goods Junction. Here the 1895 passenger curve into Langley Mill platforms left the original goods branch. From 1890 until 1895, trains from Ripley ran only to Heanor. Right is towards Heanor and Ripley; platform curve and goods curve are to the left. The Bailey Brook still flows through the reformed landscape. (1/32)
